Director of Communications
Tirza serves as Director of Communications, where she combines creativity, strategy and a passion for connecting with people to tell meaningful stories and advance the mission of Great Northern University. With more than 25 years of experience in marketing, public relations, and advertising, she brings both big-picture vision and careful detail to every project.
Whether she’s writing, editing, managing countless details behind a campaign, or helping bring a new idea to life, she enjoys turning vision into reality – and making it beautiful along the way. Additionally, Tirza loves the opportunity to invest in and build relationships with college students and the amazing faculty and staff at GNU.
Tirza is passionate about the importance of higher education and advancing GNU as Spokane’s Bible-centered University. Above all, Tirza considers it a privilege to use her gifts to serve Jesus.
Tirza is married to Shane and they have five children. She loves hosting parties, traveling around the world, getting outside for long bike rides, and summer camping trips with her family.
