Assistant Professor of Old Testament
Bradley began studying the Bible in high school, driven by curiosity. This produced initial insights, but it also generated more questions, inspiring a lifelong commitment to biblical study until all questions are answered—or Christ returns. This enthusiasm led him to pursue biblical training at BIOLA University and develop exegetical skills at Wheaton College. He enjoys sharing insights from his studies through academic publications, conference presentations for the Evangelical Theological Society, and teaching students, who often help him understand a bit better and ask better questions. Before relocating to Spokane in 2026, Bradley taught Old Testament at Wheaton College, where he earned his doctorate.
Bradley especially loves Israelite wisdom literature and has focused his academic interest on the book of Ecclesiastes. His dissertation explored the motif of the Fear of God in the book through the lens of psychological, neuroscientific, and philosophical theoretical frameworks of emotion. He is passionate about interdisciplinary and integrative work—especially between biblical studies and systematic theology.
Bradley is also a nerd: a lover of music theory, baking, ancient languages, and a select few fandoms. Outside the classroom, he enjoys building LEGOs and playing make-believe with his three children, Samuel, Lydia, and Ruth. When his children are in bed, he enjoys sharing his latest hyper-fixation with his wife, Natalie, whom he met while acting in a community theater production in his hometown of Placerville, California. Bradley’s earliest career ambitions were to be a “doctor with a beard” and the inventor of the juicer. As of today, he has achieved at least one of these aspirations.
