Chief Operations Officer
Alec was born and raised in Spokane, Washington, and has remained closely connected to the region throughout his life. He earned his degree in Educational Studies from Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, Colorado, with an initial focus on teaching. Following graduation, Alec transitioned into operations within the facility management industry, where he developed expertise in supporting schools and universities across the Pacific Northwest.
In September 2025, Alec joined GNU, bringing his operational experience to strengthen the University’s infrastructure and processes. His role spans multiple areas of operations, where he contributes to efficiency, compliance, and service excellence in support of GNU’s mission.
Outside of work, Alec and his wife, Leah, live in North Spokane with their three young children and are expecting a fourth in the spring of 2026. He enjoys tackling projects around their home and property, backpacking in the Selkirks of Northern Idaho, serving in his local church, and working on puzzles at the family’s kitchen table.
